The WALTER-TITEX 5060641 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to Series A1247 specifications, it carries a 9.3 mm (0.3661 inch) diameter with an oxide coating that improves surface hardness and wear resistance. The 130-degree split point reduces walking on entry and lowers thrust requirements when drilling hard materials. With a parabolic flute geometry and tapered web configuration, this bit evacuates chips efficiently and maintains cutting stability throughout the full depth of cut. Overall length is 4-29/32 inches. This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. It is well suited for blind-hole drilling and stack drilling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 2.598 inches (66.00 mm), making it practical for through-hole and moderate-depth blind-hole work on structural components, fabricated assemblies, and maintenance repair tasks across industrial and trade settings.

Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with metal-cutting operations and applicable shop safety standards. Coolant-through capability is not supported on this bit, so appropriate external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, or titanium. Inspect the cutting edges and web condition before each use and replace the bit if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
