The WALTER-TITEX 5060559 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to Series A1247 specifications, it measures 2.7 mm (0.1063 inches) in diameter with a 2-13/32 inch overall length and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The 130-degree split point reduces walking on entry and cuts aggressively through hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The oxide coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in production drilling environments. This bit is suited for licensed machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and maintenance mechanics running drill presses, CNC equipment, or hand-held power tools.
The 5060559 is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. It supports blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications where consistent geometry and chip control are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters, and the 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio accommodates deeper penetration up to 1.102 inches (28 mm) maximum drilling depth. This bit is appropriate for both production-floor and maintenance-repair-operations (MRO) use cases.
