The WALTER-TITEX 5060555 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Measuring 2.3 mm (0.0906 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 2-3/32 inches, this bit features a 130-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced heat buildup. The oxide coating provides additional surface hardness and lubricity. Right-hand cut with a straight-cylindrical shank, it is suited for machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators who work with hard or abrasive materials on a regular basis.
This drill bit is engineered for use in blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The parabolic flute design supports an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio, allowing deeper penetration with consistent chip clearance. Series A1247 is built to ANSI and ISO standards and carries BS and DIN specification designations, making it appropriate for both domestic and international manufacturing environments. It is particularly well suited for production drilling where tool life and hole quality are critical.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.0906-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces per Series A1247 application guidelines.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with drilling operations and appropriate speeds and feeds for cobalt tooling. Secure the shank fully in a properly rated drill chuck before operation and confirm workpiece fixturing before engaging the cut. Do not use in hammer or percussion mode. Follow applicable shop safety standards and consult the tool manufacturer speed-and-feed charts for the specific workpiece material.
