The WALTER-TITEX 5060525 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in production and maintenance environments. It carries a 10.50 mm (0.4134 inch) diameter, a 130-degree split-point geometry, and an oxide coating that reduces friction and improves heat resistance during cutting. The parabolic flute profile accelerates chip evacuation, which is critical when drilling blind holes or stack-drilling multiple workpieces. Overall length is 133.00 mm (5.2344 inches) with a flute length of 87.00 mm (3.4219 inches). This bit is part of the Series A1247 heavy-duty, high-performance line and is rated to a maximum drilling depth of 71.00 mm (2.7950 inches).
This drill bit is suited for cutting steel, cast iron, and hardened materials in industrial, fabrication, and MRO settings. Typical applications include blind-hole drilling and stack drilling where consistent chip removal and point stability matter most. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks found on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and machine spindle use. Licensed trades and machining professionals working to ANSI, ISO, DIN, or BS standards will find this bit meets those specifications.
Designed for use in steel, cast iron, and hardened materials (workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, S). Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks. Compatible with blind hole and stack drilling operations as specified for Series A1247.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die professionals following applicable shop safety procedures. Ensure the drill press or machine spindle is powered down and locked out before mounting or removing the bit. Secure the straight shank firmly in the chuck to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 71.00 mm (2.7950 inches) per cycle without retracting to clear chips.
