The WALTER-TITEX 5060507 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for demanding metal drilling applications in industrial and trade environments. Built to Series A1247 standards, this wire gauge size 8 bit measures 0.1990 inches in diameter with a 3-3/8 inch overall length and a 130-degree split point. The oxide coating helps resist heat and wear during extended use. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and improving hole quality at depth. This bit is suited for production drilling, maintenance shops, and field use by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and skilled trades professionals working with hard and abrasive metals.
This drill bit is engineered for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, and superalloys including titanium. It is rated for blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications. With an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a maximum drilling depth of 1.732 inches, it handles through-holes and controlled-depth blind holes in both manual and CNC drill press setups. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without an adapter. Compliance with ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN standards makes it suitable for domestic and international shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber drill bit for applications requiring a wire gauge size 8 (0.1990 inch) straight-shank bit conforming to ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN Series A1247 specifications.
Installation of this drill bit requires a drill press, hand drill, or CNC machine with a chuck rated for a 0.1990-inch straight shank. Power down and secure the workpiece before changing bits. Confirm chuck jaws are fully tightened and runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a drilling cycle. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use external cutting fluid or mist coolant when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, or titanium to manage heat at the cutting edge.
