The WALTER-TITEX 5060471 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit in the No. 3 wire size, corresponding to 0.2130 inch decimal diameter. Part of the Series A1247 high-performance line, this bit features a parabolic flute geometry and a 130-degree split point for aggressive, accurate entry without a center punch. The oxide coating reduces friction and heat buildup during the cut. With an overall length of 3-21/32 inches and a flute length of 2-15/64 inches, this bit is sized for standard jobber-length applications across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is installed and used by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals working with precision hole-making operations.
This drill bit is suited for both blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations. It performs in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, superalloys, and titanium. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. The parabolic flute profile promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is particularly important when drilling deep holes or running at higher feed rates in tough materials. The flute-to-diameter ratio is 8xD, supporting deeper penetration relative to the drill diameter. Maximum drilling depth is 1.89 inches.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.2130 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for blind hole and stack drilling in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium per workpiece material codes K, M, N, P, and S.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills with compatible chuck capacity. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. No coolant-through capability is present on this bit, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling stainless steel, superalloys, or titanium. Follow applicable shop safety practices and machine guarding requirements during all drilling operations.
