The WALTER-TITEX 5060309 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for demanding metalworking applications. Built to M35 cobalt material grade and conforming to DIN 338 and ANSI/ISO standards, this bit carries a 130-degree VA point angle optimized for self-centering on hard materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.80 mm in diameter, matching the cutting diameter, and the overall length is 46.00 mm (1.811 inches). The bright uncoated finish is standard for cobalt-grade tooling that will be resharpened. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision shop technicians are the primary users of this type of drill bit.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — workpiece material codes M and S. The Series A1244 design features a regular spiral flute with a tapered web configuration for chip evacuation in tough alloys. The flute length is 22.00 mm (0.866 inches) and the maximum drilling depth is 19.00 mm (0.748 inches), making it appropriate for shallow to mid-depth holes in precision machining setups. Coolant-through capability is not present on this model.
Designed as an OEM-style precision drill bit in the WALTER-TITEX Series A1244, conforming to DIN 338 specification for jobber length straight-shank drill bits in the 0.05 to 0.10 decimal inch diameter range.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking technicians familiar with small-diameter tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized drill chuck or collet before operation to prevent runout. Follow machine-specific speed and feed guidelines for cobalt tooling in stainless steel and superalloy workpieces — do not exceed recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edge before each use; small-diameter cobalt bits are susceptible to chipping if run at incorrect feeds or if the workpiece is not properly fixtured.
