The WALTER-TITEX 5059526 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for high-performance metal drilling in demanding trade and production environments. It measures 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch decimal) in diameter with a 3-21/32 inch overall length and a 2-1/4 inch flute length. The bit is ground from high speed steel with an oxide coating for added surface hardness and corrosion resistance. A parabolic flute geometry accelerates chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup during prolonged drilling cycles. The 130-degree split point with web thinning helps the bit self-center on entry and reduces thrust load, making it well-suited for production drilling and blind-hole work.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. The straight-cylindrical shank at 7/32 inch diameter fits standard drill chucks without adapters. It is suited for both blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications. The Series A1222 designation places it within a high-performance jobber drill line built to ANSI and ISO standards, making it a reliable replacement or addition to a shop drill set used by machinists, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, electricians, and general maintenance trades.
Designed for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces. The 7/32 inch straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with any standard drill chuck accepting that shank size. Maximum drilling depth is 1.890 inches.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals using standard drill presses, hand drills, or CNC spindles. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and confirm the workpiece is clamped or fixtured. Use cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material to extend bit life and reduce heat. Inspect the cutting edges for wear regularly; a dull or chipped bit increases thrust load and reduces hole quality.
