The WALTER-TITEX 5059362 is a jobber-length twist drill bit sized to wire gauge number 21, with a decimal diameter of 0.1590 inches. Built from high-speed steel with an oxide coating, this bit features a parabolic flute design and a 130-degree split point for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust in production drilling applications. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks. With a web-thinned, tapered web configuration and an 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this bit is engineered for high-performance drilling where consistent hole quality and tool life matter. It is sized and toleranced to h8 shank standards and meets ANSI and ISO specifications.
This bit is suited for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both blind-hole and stack-drilling applications. The parabolic flute geometry accelerates chip removal in deeper passes, making it a practical choice for production environments and repetitive drilling cycles. No coolant-through capability is present, so conventional flood or mist cooling applies where needed. The Series A1222 designation places this in a family of high-performance jobber drills intended for use by machinists, millwrights, and tool-and-die professionals.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1590-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron (K), non-ferrous metal (N), and steel (P) per ISO material group designations.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals operating drilling equipment appropriate for the workpiece material. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Observe proper RPM and feed-rate parameters for the workpiece material to avoid premature wear or breakage. No coolant-through path is present; apply external cutting fluid or mist cooling as required by the application.
