The WALTER-TITEX 5058773 is a jobber length twist drill bit designed for general-purpose hole-making in ferrous materials. Manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it delivers reliable performance in cast iron and steel applications. The bit measures 5.1 mm (0.2008 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 86 mm (3-25/64 inches) and a flute length of 52 mm (2-3/64 inches). The 118-degree standard point angle and web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduce entry thrust and improve chip evacuation. This bit is suited for blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations and is a standard tool in metal fabrication, maintenance, and mechanical trade work.
This drill bit is intended for use in cast iron and steel workpieces in both production and maintenance settings. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard three-jaw drill chucks on benchtop drill presses, handheld power drills, and CNC drilling machines. The regular spiral flute geometry and 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio make it a practical choice for general shop use. Series A1211 is a high-performance jobber series meeting ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN standards, making it appropriate for operations where dimensional consistency and tolerance are required.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces. Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical shank drill chucks. Fits applications requiring a 5.1 mm or 0.2008 inch diameter hole within the ANSI and ISO jobber length format.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or trades professional familiar with metal cutting operations. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and confirm the drill chuck is properly tightened to the straight-cylindrical shank. Power down and de-energize the drilling machine before inserting or removing the bit. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling steel to extend tool life and maintain tolerance.
