The WALTER-TITEX 5058725 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for general-purpose hole-making in cast iron and steel. It measures 3.5 mm (0.1378 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 70 mm (2.75 inches) and a flute length of 39 mm (1.53 inches). The bit is ground from high speed steel and finished with an oxide coating for added surface hardness and lubricity. The standard 118-degree point angle and web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduce entry force and improve chip evacuation. This bit is suited for machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabrication shops working with ferrous metals on drill presses or hand-held equipment.
This jobber drill bit is built for blind-hole drilling and stack drilling applications in cast iron and steel workpieces. The regular spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut make it compatible with standard drill press setups and CNC drilling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank fits conventional three-jaw chucks across a wide range of equipment. At 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio, the bit handles moderate-depth drilling within a maximum drilling depth of 33 mm (1.299 inches). It is appropriate for both production and maintenance settings where consistent hole quality in ferrous materials is required.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel workpieces. Suitable for use in drill presses, CNC drilling machines, and hand-held power drills equipped with a standard three-jaw chuck accepting a 0.1378-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Meets ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN specification designations.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with metal drilling operations. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and ensure the chuck is fully tightened on the straight-cylindrical shank before starting the spindle. This bit does not support coolant-through delivery, so external cutting fluid or mist should be applied when drilling deeper holes to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or dulling is observed to maintain hole tolerance.
