The WALTER-TITEX 5058630 is a jobber length drill bit designed for general-purpose and high-performance drilling in cast iron and steel. Manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it measures 14.5 mm (0.5709 inches) in diameter and carries an overall length of 169 mm (6-21/32 inches). The standard 118-degree drill point and web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduce entry force and improve chip evacuation. With two spiral flutes in a regular helix pattern, this bit delivers consistent performance in blind hole and stack drilling applications. It is sized to the h8 diameter tolerance and meets ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN standards.
This drill bit is suited for use in ferrous metal applications, specifically cast iron and steel workpieces in both shop and field environments. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct chuck mounting in standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills. Its 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 99 mm maximum drilling depth make it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole work. Machinists, millwrights, and fabricators will find it well-matched to production drilling tasks where dimensional accuracy and repeatable entry geometry are required.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style jobber drill for use in ferrous metals including cast iron and steel, as specified by the manufacturer for Series A1211. Compatible with any standard chuck accepting a 0.5709-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabricators using a standard drill press, milling machine, or hand-held power drill. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a calibrated chuck before operation, and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter. Follow applicable ANSI and shop safety guidelines when drilling ferrous metals, including use of appropriate cutting fluid where recommended for the material. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; external coolant or cutting oil should be applied at the workpiece as needed.
