The WALTER-TITEX 5058552 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for precision drilling in ferrous materials. Built from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it delivers consistent performance in general-purpose drilling applications. The bit measures 1.9 mm (0.0748 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 46 mm (1-13/16 inches) and a flute length of 22 mm (55/64 inches). The 118-degree standard point angle and web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduce thrust requirements and improve chip evacuation at entry. Right-hand spiral fluting in a regular helix pattern suits typical production and maintenance drilling tasks performed by machinists and trade technicians.
This drill bit is suited for drilling into cast iron and steel in both production and field service environments. Typical applications include blind hole drilling and stack drilling operations where consistent hole quality and bit longevity are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. The Series A1211 designation places this bit in a well-established jobber-length metric line meeting ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN standards. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with standard drill chucks accepting a 0.0748-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel. Suitable for general-purpose drilling within the 0.05 to 0.10-inch (0.00 to 2.00 mm) drill bit size range of the A1211 series.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade technicians familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the drill chuck and verify concentricity before drilling. Always power down and de-energize the drilling equipment before changing bits or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 0.748 inches (19 mm) to avoid flute clogging or bit deflection.
