The WALTER-TITEX 5058432 is a jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in cast iron and steel. Built from high speed steel with an oxide coating, it delivers consistent performance in both blind hole and stack drilling applications. The bit features a 118-degree standard point angle, a web-thinned and tapered web configuration, and a regular spiral flute with right-hand cut. At 0.7 mm in diameter with an overall length of 28 mm (approximately 1.1 inches), it is suited for close-tolerance work requiring an h8 diameter tolerance. Licensed machinists, tool and die technicians, and production floor operators are the primary installers.
This drill bit is rated for use on cast iron and steel workpieces in both blind hole and stack drilling scenarios. Its 2-flute spiral design clears chips efficiently in short, repetitive drilling cycles. The Series A1211 designation places it in a line built to ANSI, ISO, BS, and DIN standards, making it appropriate for shops that must meet international specification requirements. It is well suited to high-volume production environments where consistent hole geometry at small diameters is critical.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber length drill bit for use in cast iron and steel workpieces. Primary workpiece material codes K and P confirm compatibility with cast iron and steel stock respectively.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool operators using a compatible drill press, CNC machining center, or hand drill with an appropriate collet or chuck rated for sub-1 mm shank diameters. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly before operation to prevent runout at this diameter. Inspect the cutting edge before each use — at 0.7 mm, the bit is susceptible to breakage from side loading or misalignment. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material.
