The WALTER SURFACE TECHNOLOGIES 07K442 is an unmounted coated flap wheel designed for precision surface finishing and blending on metal workpieces. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a cloth backing, this wheel delivers consistent material removal and a fine surface finish across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. At 4.5 inches in outside diameter and 4 inches wide, it fits standard drum arbors with a 5/8-11 threaded hole and is rated to a maximum of 3,800 RPM. The interleaf construction helps maintain uniform cut and extends wheel life during continuous use. Installation and operation are handled by grinding equipment operators and metalworkers in fabrication and finishing environments.
This flap wheel is suited for surface conditioning, deburring, and blending operations on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel. The fine 80-grit rating makes it appropriate for intermediate to final finishing passes where surface quality matters. It is specifically designed for use with the Line-Mate 30-A 268 Drum, making it a direct consumable replacement in that system. Applications span metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and industrial production environments where consistent surface preparation is required.
Designed for use with the Line-Mate 30-A 268 Drum. Suitable for surface finishing applications on aluminum, stainless steel, and steel.
Installation is performed by qualified grinding equipment operators following applicable shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the drum unit completely before mounting or removing the flap wheel. Verify the arbor thread engagement is secure before resuming operation, and confirm the equipment spindle speed does not exceed the 3,800 RPM rating of this wheel. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling abrasive products and operating grinding equipment.
