The insert has a neutral hand orientation, an 80-degree diamond shape, a 0.5080-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. The MP5 chip breaker geometry features a chamfered and honed cutting edge with a negative rake angle of 15 degrees, controlling chip flow during roughing and semi-finishing passes on steel and cast iron.
