The WALTER 6092194 is a solid carbide grooving insert carrying grade WSM33S and the GX1E200N02CE4 designation from the Tiger-tec series. It features a multilayer PVD coating combining Al2O3, TiAlN, and ZrCN for wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The insert delivers a 2.00 mm cutting width with a corner radius of 0.20 mm and supports a maximum depth of cut of 15.00 mm. Double-ended geometry doubles usable edge life per insert. Clamp-style holding secures the insert in compatible GX toolholders. Machinists and CNC turning specialists working in job shop or production environments install this insert for precision grooving and parting operations.
This insert is designed primarily for grooving and parting on CNC turning centers and lathes. Its primary workpiece material target is superalloy (ISO material code S), with additional suitability for stainless steel (M) and steel (P) at material grades S30, M30, and P35. The CE4 chip breaker geometry manages chip formation in tough, work-hardening materials where chip control is critical to surface finish and tool life. It fits into standard GX-system clamp-style toolholders sized for the 1E200N02 insert seat.
Designed for use in GX-system clamp-style toolholders accepting the 1E200N02 insert seat size. Compatible workpiece material codes are S (superalloy), M (stainless steel), and P (steel) per ISO classification. Multi-use designation confirms suitability across grooving, parting, and related operations on CNC turning equipment.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct clamp screw torque driver recommended by the toolholder manufacturer - do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and will crack under excessive clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
