The WALTER 5886271 is a solid carbide milling insert in the ADMT series, designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations in industrial machining environments. Carrying the WKP35S manufacturer grade, this insert features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN / Al2O3 / TiCN for wear resistance across demanding cutting conditions. The parallelogram insert shape (ADMT style) with a positive rake angle of 16 degrees and a 15-degree relief angle promotes clean chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. Two chamfered and honed cutting edges are available per insert. Installation and tooling setup are handled by machining professionals and CNC operators working with compatible Walter cutter bodies.

This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces across both roughing and semi-finishing applications. The F56 chip breaker geometry is optimized for these material groups.
