The WALTER 5886202 is a solid carbide milling insert in the ADMT series, designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations in steel and cast iron applications. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards under the designation ADMT080302R-F56 WKP35S, this insert features a CVD coating system consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiCN layers that delivers wear resistance and thermal stability under demanding cutting conditions. The right-hand, single-sided insert carries a positive rake angle of 16 degrees, a 15-degree relief angle, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. It measures 0.3750 inches in length, 0.2660 inches in width, and 0.1320 inches in thickness, with a corner radius of 0.0079 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert in compatible milling cutter bodies.
This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces in both production and job-shop environments. The F56 chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation during roughing and semi-finishing passes. Material grade designations P35 and K35 indicate suitability for ISO P-class steels and K-class cast irons at moderate to high cutting parameters. The ADMT080302R-F56 WKP35S is compatible with Walter cutter series F4038 and F4042. It is held in the cutter body by a screw clamping method, consistent with standard indexable insert tooling practice. This insert sells in minimum order quantities of 10 units, with a package quantity of 1.
Designed for use in Walter cutter series F4038 and F4042. ANSI and ISO code: ADMT080302R-F56 WKP35S. Compatible with ISO P-class steel and K-class cast iron workpiece materials per material grade designations P35 and K35.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to torque the clamping screw - do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the cutter pocket seat and screw threads for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
