The WALTER 5008560 is a countersunk-head cap screw designed for securing indexable inserts in precision toolholders. Part of the Walter Precision Series, this M4-threaded fastener uses a T15 Torx drive and features a flat point for positive insert seating. It measures 9.50 millimeters (0.374 inches) in overall length and weighs 0.01 pounds. Machining professionals and toolroom technicians use this screw as a direct replacement or spare component when servicing boring bars and face mill cutter assemblies. Proper insert clamping torque and screw condition are critical to insert stability and surface finish quality.
This cap screw is intended for use in metal cutting applications involving boring and face mill cutter toolholders. It is compatible with the B3230, F2334, F2339, and F3040 toolholder styles and is driven with the FS1047 key driver. It accepts a range of CPGT and WCGT series indexable inserts with an inscribed circle of 0.219 inches. These applications are common in production turning, milling, and boring operations across job shops and manufacturing facilities.
Compatible with B3230, F2334, F2339, and F3040 toolholder styles. Accepts the following indexable inserts: CPGT050202-PF5, CPGT050202-X5, CPGT050204-PF1, CPGT050204-PM2, CPGT050208-PF1, WCGT030201-PF2, WCGT030202-PF2, WCGT030202-PM2, WCGT030204-PF2, WCGT030204-PM2, WCGT73.5-PF2, WCGT73.5-PM2, WCGT730-PF2, WCGT731-PF2, WCGT731-PM2, CPGT050202-X15, and CPGT050204-2A. Use with FS1047 key driver.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians during insert indexing or replacement. Before servicing the toolholder, ensure the machine is powered down, locked out, and the spindle is fully stopped. Use only the designated FS1047 Torx key driver to seat and tighten the screw - using non-specified drivers risks stripping the Torx socket or under-torquing the insert. Inspect the screw threads and head seating surface for wear or damage before each insert change and replace the screw if any deformation is present.
