The WALTER 5006854 is a countersunk cap screw designed to secure indexable inserts in precision toolholders used for boring, counterbore, drilling, and face milling operations. Featuring a T8 Torx drive and M2.5 thread, this flat-point screw provides a positive, repeatable clamping engagement that minimizes insert movement under cutting loads. The countersunk head sits flush with the toolholder seat, keeping the cutting zone clear. At 0.2362 inches (6.00 mm) overall length, it is sized specifically for the compact insert pockets found in Walter Capto Stardrill and Walter Boring series toolholders. Installation requires the compatible FS230 key driver. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers.
This cap screw is used in metalworking environments where indexable insert tooling is mounted in precision toolholders. It is suited for both light finishing and general-purpose machining setups across the Capto Stardrill and Walter Boring series platforms. Compatible toolholder styles include the B3213.C, B3220, B3221, B3230, and B4030. Insert compatibility spans multiple CCGT-series geometries with inscribed circle sizes of 0.219 inches and 0.250 inches, covering PF2 and PM2 chipbreaker variants as well as select L-suffix configurations. This screw ships individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Compatible with B3213.C, B3220, B3221, B3230, and B4030 toolholder styles. Insert compatibility includes CCGT060201-PF2, CCGT060201-PM2, CCGT060202-PF2, CCGT060202-PM2, CCGT060204-PF2, CCGT060204-PM2, CCGT060208-PM2, CCGT21.50-PF2, CCGT21.50-PM2, CCGT21.50.5-PF2, CCGT21.50.5-PM2, CCGT21.51-PF2, CCGT21.51-PM2, CCGT21.51PM2, CCGT21.52PM2, CCGT060202-1L, and CCGT06 series inserts. Use with FS230 key driver. Part of the Capto Stardrill and Walter Boring series.
Installation and insert indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician familiar with indexable tooling systems. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts or servicing toolholders. Use only the specified FS230 key driver to seat the screw - substituting an incorrect Torx key can damage the drive recess or over-torque the thread. Inspect the screw and insert pocket threads for debris or damage before each insert change.
