The WAGNER MOTORS WG840464 is a multi-horsepower rescue blower motor designed for residential furnace air handler applications. Rated from 1/6 to 1/2 HP, it operates on 208 to 230 volts AC at 60 Hz and delivers 1075 RPM across four selectable speeds. The motor uses a PSC (permanent split capacitor) design with Class B insulation and fits a NEMA 48 frame. It is electrically reversible and includes an automatic thermal overload protector. Solid copper windings and extended wiring leads up to 30 inches reduce installation difficulty in tight equipment cabinets. UL listed for both US and Canada, it is manufactured in the USA.
This motor is suited for residential gas furnace blower replacement where the original motor has failed and a direct cross-match is unavailable or where a single stocked motor needs to cover multiple horsepower configurations. The 4-speed tap configuration and reversible rotation make it adaptable to a range of blower wheel assemblies. Extended mounting bolts simplify nut-starting in cramped blower compartments. WAGNER MOTORS provides a manufacturer cross-reference on the motor carton to assist in confirming fitment on the job site.
Designed as an OEM-style rescue replacement for residential furnace blower motors in NEMA 48 frame configurations. The motor carton includes a complete manufacturer cross-reference to assist with confirming fitment. Consult the carton cross-reference or Wagner Motors compatibility documentation for specific OEM part matches.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out power to the furnace before removing the existing motor or handling any wiring. Verify blower wheel shaft diameter, rotation direction, and speed tap wiring against the existing motor before energizing. A 370-volt AC run capacitor of the appropriate MFD rating is required and is noted on the motor carton; do not operate the motor without a correctly rated run capacitor.
