The WAC LIGHTING EN-2460-P-AR is a plug-in Class 2 electronic transformer designed for low-voltage lighting systems in residential and light commercial applications. It accepts 120V AC input and delivers 24V AC output at up to 60 watts, making it suitable for driving under-cabinet and display luminaires. The unit includes built-in soft start, short circuit, and overload protection. Soft start delays inrush current at lamp startup, which extends lamp service life. A 72-inch detachable cord with an open splice and an on/off toggle switch at the base are included. Licensed electricians and lighting installers handle this type of transformer during fixture installation or system upgrades.
The EN-2460-P-AR is intended for use with low-voltage fixture runs such as under-cabinet lighting strips and display case luminaires. A minimum load of 1 watt is required to support low-load LED systems. The transformer supports smooth, continuous dimming when an electronic low-voltage dimmer is installed on the primary side. It is rated for damp locations, expanding its usability to areas like kitchens and covered outdoor display environments. The open-splice output allows direct connection to compatible 24V fixture wiring runs without additional connectors.
Designed for use with WAC Lighting under-cabinet systems and other 24V low-voltage fixture runs including display luminaires. Supports smooth dimming with an electronic low-voltage dimmer installed on the primary side of the transformer.
This transformer should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC Class 2 wiring requirements. Always power down the circuit before making any wiring connections at the output splice. Dimmers must be installed on the primary (120V) side of the transformer, never on the secondary output side. Verify the connected fixture load meets the 1W minimum and does not exceed 60 watts before energizing the circuit.
