The w-12vdc-4p/5a is a 12-volt DC regulated distributed power supply designed for multi-camera or multi-device low-voltage installations. It delivers up to 5 amps across 4 individually fused output channels, each protected by a resettable PTC (positive temperature coefficient) fuse. Built-in protections cover overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit, and surge conditions. A front-mounted on/off safety switch with LED indicator provides visual confirmation of power status. The metal enclosure includes a lock for secured installations. UL, CE, and RoHS approvals are listed for this unit.
This power supply is suited for residential and light commercial security camera systems, access control panels, and similar 12-volt DC distributed load applications. Each of the 4 output channel pairs operates independently, so a fault on one channel does not affect the others. A red indicator light identifies which channel has tripped, allowing a technician to quickly isolate the faulted device, clear the short, and reset the fuse by cycling the power switch without replacing any components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install distributed power supply for 12-volt DC multi-channel security camera and access control systems requiring individually fused outputs.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security systems technician in accordance with applicable NEC low-voltage wiring requirements. Power down the supply completely before connecting or disconnecting any output channel leads. Verify that the combined load across all 4 channels does not exceed the 5 amp total rated capacity before energizing. After clearing a short-circuit fault, cycle the on/off switch to reset the affected PTC fuse and confirm the fault indicator extinguishes before returning the system to service.
