The VIRGINIA KMP mzk-f4-hnbr is a ZoomLock MAX SAE flare adapter press fitting designed for making leak-free refrigerant connections without a brazing torch. This 1/4 inch fitting uses a press-fit mechanism that eliminates open-flame hot work, reducing fire hazards and removing the need for hot work permits on the job site. The HNBR elastomer seal ensures a durable, secure connection in copper tube refrigerant systems. No crimp gauge is required to complete the connection, and the fitting carries a 15-year warranty. HVAC-R contractors and refrigeration technicians install this fitting as part of Parker ZoomLock MAX press fitting systems across a wide range of applications.
This adapter is suited for residential and commercial air conditioning systems, heat pumps, chillers, VRF and VRV systems, and refrigeration applications including cases, coolers, walk-in coolers, and freezers. Transportation refrigeration is also a supported market. The 1/4 inch SAE flare adapter configuration makes it a standard entry point in ZoomLock MAX assemblies where a flare-to-press transition is needed. The ZoomLock MAX product line covers pipe sizes from 1/4 inch through 1-1/8 inches, allowing technicians to use a consistent press fitting approach across multiple line sizes on the same job.
Designed for use with Parker ZoomLock MAX press fitting systems in air conditioning, heat pump, chiller, VRF, VRV, and refrigeration applications including cases, coolers, walk-in coolers, freezers, and transportation refrigeration.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC-R technicians or refrigeration mechanics. Always recover refrigerant and isolate the system before making or modifying fittings. Follow the press fitting tool manufacturer's instructions for proper jaw selection and pressing sequence. No open flame, solder, or nitrogen purge is required, but all applicable mechanical and refrigeration codes should be observed.
