Vigitron's VI50000U is a 1-Port PoE Ethernet fiber media converter. It allows Ethernet signals to be sent over various types of fiber optic cables. This device supports UTP connections with fiber to meet long-distance transmission needs. The product is compatible with major single and multimode fiber optic cables thanks to the use of SFP fiber modules. The VI50000U can accept power from a local 12VDC or 52-57VDC power supply. When powered by a 57VDC source, it can deliver up to 60W PoE. This feature powers PTZ domes that may require additional heating or blowing systems, reducing the reliance on costly local power supplies. Its auto bandwidth sensing enables efficient connections to network switches and NVRs. This converter is suitable for retrofitting existing analog fiber setups into IP systems.
