The VIEGA 95180 is a MegaPress reducing tee fitting designed for press-connect stainless steel piping systems. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, this tee connects 3/4-inch press inlets to a 1/2-inch female threaded outlet, allowing inline branch connections without soldering, brazing, or open flame. The FKM sealing element is factory-installed in each press end, providing a reliable seal suited for a wide range of fluid media. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting using a compatible press tool in mechanical, plumbing, and industrial piping applications where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or sanitary requirements.
This fitting is used in commercial and industrial plumbing systems, hydronic distribution piping, and process piping where 304 stainless steel is required. The reducing configuration allows a branch takeoff to a smaller female-threaded connection without additional adapters. Typical installations include mechanical rooms, food service facilities, pharmaceutical environments, and other applications demanding stainless steel construction. The press-connect ends eliminate the need for open-flame work, making this fitting suitable for occupied or sensitive environments where hot work permits are restricted.
Designed for use with VIEGA MegaPress 304 stainless steel press-connect piping systems per the MegaPress 4117.2 product series. Compatible press ends require a VIEGA-approved press tool and jaws sized for MegaPress stainless steel fittings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter using a VIEGA-approved press tool with the correct jaw profile for MegaPress stainless steel fittings. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting in or modifying any existing piping. Inspect the FKM sealing element for damage or displacement before pressing. The female threaded outlet must be made up with appropriate thread sealant and torqued per standard IPC practices for threaded stainless steel connections.
