Product Description

The VIEGA 49723 is a polymer press test plug designed for use with the PureFlow press fitting system and Smart Connect technology. It temporarily seals a 1/2 inch press fitting during pressure testing of potable water and hydronic piping systems before final connections are made. The polymer construction keeps the plug lightweight and corrosion resistant. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this plug during rough-in pressure tests to verify system integrity prior to completing the piping layout.

This test plug is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where PureFlow press fittings are installed. It fits into the press fitting socket and holds pressure during the inspection and testing phase of installation. Once the system passes the pressure test, the plug is removed and the final connection is pressed in place. It is suited for copper tube size piping at the 1/2 inch diameter.
