The VIEGA 46033 is a zero-lead brass crimp lav adapter designed for use in PEX water supply systems. It connects 1/2-inch PEX tubing to a 1/2-inch female iron pipe (FIP) lavatory fitting, making it a standard transition component in residential bathroom rough-in and fixture connection work. At 0.058 pounds and measuring 1.56 inches in length, this compact fitting installs using a standard PEX crimp tool with the appropriate crimp ring. The zero-lead brass construction meets requirements for potable water applications where lead-free materials are mandated.
This adapter is used in residential and light commercial plumbing installations where PEX supply lines terminate at lavatory faucets or shutoff valves with FIP inlets. It is a common fitting in new construction and remodel work when transitioning from PureFlow PEX tubing to threaded lavatory supply connections. The crimp-style connection requires a compatible crimp ring and calibrated crimp tool for a leak-free joint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use crimp fitting for 1/2-inch PEX supply line systems terminating at 1/2-inch FIP lavatory faucet or shutoff connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified trades familiar with PEX crimp systems. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. A go/no-go gauge should be used after crimping to verify ring deformation meets specification. Installations must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and standards such as the IPC or UPC.
