The VIEGA 45ELL-1 is a 1-inch carbon steel 45-degree elbow fitting designed for use with the MegaPress press-fit system. It connects two segments of pipe at a 45-degree angle without soldering, threading, or open flame. The fitting uses Smart Connect technology, which allows installers to identify unpressed connections during pressure testing, reducing the risk of a failed joint going undetected. This fitting is intended for use on liquid piping systems and is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on commercial or residential mechanical systems.

This elbow is used in closed hydronic, domestic water, and industrial liquid piping applications where a 45-degree directional change is needed. The press-fit connection method makes it suitable for retrofit and new construction work where torch use is restricted or impractical. It is not rated for gas service. The 1-inch press x press (PXP) end configuration accepts standard 1-inch pipe on both ends.
