The VIEGA 450-854p is a PEX-to-copper press reducing adapter designed for use in potable water distribution systems. This transition fitting creates a secure connection between PEX tubing and copper press fittings, eliminating the need for solder or open flame at the joint. Manufactured from lead-free copper alloy and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372, it meets current regulatory requirements for drinking water system components. Both side A and side B accept 3/4 inch connections, making this a straight-size adapter suited for common residential and light commercial plumbing rough-in work. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.

This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic heating applications. It is suited to new construction as well as retrofit work where PEX distribution lines need to transition to existing copper press infrastructure. Installation Notes

Verify that PEX tubing is fully seated to the depth mark before pressing.
