The VIEGA 20081 is a 3-way mixing valve designed to regulate fluid temperature between a heat source and a hydronic distribution system. Built with a brass body and EPDM O-ring seals, it handles flow rates of 12 to 17 gpm and a pressure rating of 145 psi. The valve operates across a temperature range of 14 to 230 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding heating and cooling circuits. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians typically specify this valve in radiant and boiler-fed systems. It can be operated manually or fitted with a compatible actuator for automated temperature control.
The VIEGA 20081 is suited for residential and light commercial hydronic applications including radiant floor heating, radiant ceiling or wall systems, snow and ice melt systems, and cooling circuits requiring precise supply-water temperature blending. The 1-inch FNPT connections allow straightforward integration into standard pipe assemblies. Manual or actuator-driven operation gives installers flexibility in both simple zone setups and more complex automated control configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation mixing valve for 1-inch FNPT hydronic piping systems in radiant heating, radiant cooling, and snow and ice melt applications where fluid temperature regulation is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IFGC where gas-fired heat sources are involved. Shut down and depressurize the hydronic system completely before installing or replacing this valve. Verify flow direction and port orientation against the system design before tightening threaded connections. If an actuator is to be mounted, confirm actuator torque and voltage requirements match the control system before wiring.
