The VIEGA 15209 is an extruded heavy gauge aluminum climate track designed for radiant heating and cooling systems installed beneath subfloor decking. The track grips PEX tubing firmly, eliminating air gaps without the need for sealant or adhesive, which maximizes heat conduction between the tubing and the floor above. Each track measures 4 feet in length, 3.5 inches in width, and 0.375 inches in depth, and weighs 1.15 pounds. Licensed HVAC and plumbing technicians install this component as part of a hydronic radiant floor system during new construction or retrofit applications.
This track is fastened directly to the underside of the subfloor to hold PEX barrier tubing securely in position across the full length of each run. It is compatible with VIEGA barrier tubing in the 3/8 inch size class and is sold in packaging quantities of 20 tracks per pack. The design accommodates both residential and light commercial radiant floor heating and cooling layouts where consistent tube spacing and firm contact with the subfloor are required for system efficiency.
Designed for use with VIEGA barrier tubing part numbers 11436, 11435, 11440, 11428, 11425, 11430, 11427, 11418, 11420, and 11415 in the 3/8 inch size.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians during radiant floor system rough-in. Power down or shut off all hydronic system controls before servicing any connected tubing or components. Tracks are mechanically fastened to the underside of the subfloor using appropriate fasteners for the decking material — confirm fastener type and spacing with local building code requirements. Do not kink or over-bend PEX tubing when seating it into the track channel.
