The VIEGA 15208 is an extruded heavy gauge aluminum climate track designed for radiant heating and cooling systems installed beneath subfloor assemblies. The track grips PEX tubing firmly, eliminating air gaps and removing the need for sealants or adhesives. This direct contact between tubing and aluminum promotes high heat conduction across the floor system. At 8 feet long, 3.5 inches wide, and 0.5 inches deep, each track fastens tightly to the underside of the subfloor for consistent thermal performance. Licensed plumbers and radiant heating contractors are the typical installers for this component.
The VIEGA 15208 Climate Track is used in residential and light commercial radiant floor heating and cooling installations. It is compatible with VIEGA barrier PEX tubing and is fastened to the underside of the subfloor to distribute heat evenly across the floor surface. Each order ships 20 tracks per package, making it practical for full room or multi-zone rough-in work. The track is suited for new construction and retrofit applications where staple-up or underfloor radiant layouts are specified.
Designed for use with VIEGA barrier tubing part numbers 11436, 11435, 11440, 11428, 11425, 11430, 11427, 11418, 11420, and 11415.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or radiant heating contractors. Before beginning work, shut off the heating or cooling system and relieve any pressure in the tubing loop. Tracks are mechanically fastened to the underside of the subfloor using appropriate fasteners for the substrate. Follow local mechanical codes and manufacturer spacing guidelines for tubing layout to ensure rated system performance.
