The VICTOR 11401302 is a tapered threaded contact tip designed for MIG welding applications. It accepts wire up to 0.035 inches in outside diameter, making it a standard replacement consumable for MIG gun assemblies. Contact tips are the wear item at the end of a MIG gun through which the wire electrode feeds and receives its welding current. This tip uses a tapered threaded design for secure seating in the gun neck. Installation and replacement are handled by welding technicians and maintenance personnel as part of routine consumable upkeep on MIG welding setups.
This contact tip is rated for use with No. 2 and No. 4 MIG guns. It is suited for both shop and field welding environments where 0.035 inch wire is the standard consumable. Typical applications include structural fabrication, maintenance and repair welding, and production line work where short arc or spray transfer MIG processes are used. The single-piece packaging makes it easy to stock and replace as needed during a welding session or scheduled consumable changeout.
Designed for use with No. 2 and No. 4 MIG guns as specified by the manufacturer. Accepts welding wire with a maximum outside diameter of 0.035 inches (0.90 mm).
Contact tip replacement is performed by welding technicians as a routine consumable task. Before replacing the tip, power down the welder and allow the gun neck to cool completely to avoid burns. Use the appropriate tip wrench or pliers to remove the worn tip and thread in the replacement by hand first, then snug with a tool — do not overtighten, as this can distort the tip bore and affect wire feed consistency. Inspect the gun liner and diffuser for wear at the same time to avoid premature tip failure.
