The VICTOR 0781-1444 is a heavy-duty, single-stage high-pressure piston regulator designed for methane and hydrogen service. It delivers outlet pressure in the 200 to 3000 psig range and accepts inlet pressures up to 3000 psig, making it well suited for pressure vessel testing and dead-end testing applications. The body is machined brass with a brass housing cap, and the piston uses a Delrin cap bushing for smooth, repeatable pressure adjustment. A cartridge-type seat assembly with a PCTFE seat provides reliable shutoff and long service life. Two and a half inch brass gauges are included. Licensed gas technicians and industrial service professionals handle installation and commissioning of this regulator.
This regulator is intended for high-pressure methane and hydrogen gas systems where precise pressure control and robust construction are required. Its primary application is pressure vessel and dead-end testing, where delivery pressures must be maintained at elevated levels. The 350 CGA inlet connection accommodates standard high-pressure cylinder valves used in industrial gas service, and the quarter-inch Swagelok outlet connection with a quarter-inch stainless tube fitting suits instrumentation and test bench plumbing. It is sold as an individual unit and is appropriate for both fixed and portable test station configurations.
Designed for use with methane and hydrogen gas cylinders equipped with a 350 CGA valve outlet. Outlet plumbing requires a quarter-inch Swagelok-compatible stainless tube fitting. Confirm gas compatibility and pressure ratings with your cylinder supplier before installation.
Installation must be performed by a qualified technician familiar with high-pressure gas systems and applicable codes. Close the cylinder valve and bleed all downstream pressure before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Inspect the CGA inlet connection and sintered filter for contamination before assembly. Never exceed the rated inlet pressure of 3000 psig, and verify all fittings are leak-free with an approved leak detection method before placing the system into service.
