The VICTOR 0656-0007 is a regulator-mounted flashback arrestor designed to protect oxygen and fuel gas supply lines from reverse flame propagation. In the event of a flashback, the arrestor stops the flame from traveling back past the device toward the regulator and supply source. A built-in reverse flow check valve provides an additional layer of protection against backflow of gas. The unit is 100% factory tested before shipment to confirm reliable performance under service conditions. It is sold and installed as a matched pair, with specific fittings to prevent mismatching of oxygen and fuel connections.
This flashback arrestor is suited for regulator-mount installation in a range of gas welding and cutting applications. Typical use environments include industrial fabrication, structural steel fabrication, light fabrication, and general repair and maintenance work. It mounts directly at the regulator outlet, making it appropriate for oxy-fuel cutting rigs, welding stations, and portable outfits used in shop and field settings. The distinct oxygen and fuel fitting designs prevent cross-connection during setup.
Designed as a regulator-mount flashback arrestor for oxy-fuel systems used in industrial and general fabrication, repair and maintenance, structural steel fabrication, and light fabrication applications.
Flashback arrestors of this type are installed by qualified welding equipment technicians or gas supply professionals. Shut off all cylinder valves and bleed hoses of residual pressure before removing or installing any regulator-mounted components. Confirm that the oxygen arrestor is connected to the oxygen regulator and the fuel arrestor to the fuel regulator, using the fitting design as a guide against mismatching. Follow applicable safety codes and equipment manufacturer guidelines for oxy-fuel system assembly and inspection.
