The VERMONT GAGE 361117530 is a No Go threaded ring gage used to verify that an external thread does not exceed its maximum material condition. Machined from tool steel and classified to Class 2A tolerances, this gage is used with 8-32 UNC thread forms to ensure proper fit and rejection of out-of-tolerance fasteners or threaded components. It is a single-ring design, dedicated to the No Go function. Calibrated to NIST standards, it is the standard inspection tool used by machinists, quality technicians, and manufacturing engineers in production and incoming inspection environments.
This gage is suited for inspecting 8-32 UNC external threads on screws, bolts, studs, and threaded shafts. Class 2A represents the standard tolerance class for general-purpose inch fasteners, covering the majority of commercial and industrial threaded fastener applications. The No Go ring gage is used in tandem with a separate Go ring gage to complete a full thread acceptance check. It is appropriate for use on the shop floor, in a quality lab, or at a receiving inspection station where conformance to UNC thread standards must be verified.
Designed for inspection of 8-32 UNC external threads manufactured to Class 2A tolerances. Intended for use as a No Go ring gage in standard go/no-go thread inspection procedures per UNC thread standards.
Thread ring gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists — no installation in the traditional sense applies. Before use, ensure the gage and the part being inspected are clean and free of chips, burrs, or cutting fluid that could affect the measurement result. Do not force the No Go gage onto a thread; resistance to entry indicates the thread is within acceptable limits. Store the gage in its protective case and recalibrate periodically per your quality management system requirements.
