The VERMONT GAGE 361111010 is a Go-type threaded ring gage designed to verify the maximum material condition of external threads. Built from tool steel, this single-ring gage checks 4-48 UNF (Unified National Fine) threads to Class 2A tolerance standards. It is used by machinists, quality control inspectors, and tool-room technicians to confirm that a threaded part will assemble correctly with its mating component. The Go gage must pass fully over the threaded workpiece for the part to be accepted. NIST-traceable standards govern its calibration, making it suitable for precision inspection environments where traceability documentation is required.
This gage applies to inspection of No. 4-48 UNF external threads, which are common in small fastener, instrument, and precision-assembly applications. Class 2A is the standard tolerance class for general-purpose threaded fasteners and covers the majority of commercially produced bolts, screws, and studs. A quality control technician or tool-room inspector would use this gage at incoming inspection, in-process checking, or final part acceptance stages.
