The VERMONT GAGE 112318510 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for dimensional inspection of bored holes and machined features at 18.51 mm nominal diameter. Built from tool steel with a 10 micro-inch surface finish, it delivers a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, making it suitable for Go inspection applications where precise hole acceptance criteria must be confirmed. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability, meeting the documentation requirements of quality management systems. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and quality control inspectors use this gage to verify that a machined bore falls within specified dimensional limits before assembly or further processing.
This plug gage is used in Go inspection setups on the shop floor or in a quality lab. It is appropriate for checking bored holes in precision machined components across metalworking, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing environments. It can also be used as a reference standard when setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. The overall length of 2 inches makes it compact enough for use in shallow or closely toleranced bore situations. It conforms to ASME B89.1 standards.
Designed as an OEM-style Go plug gage for use with standard bore inspection setups, and suitable as a reference standard for setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring an 18.51 mm reference.
Plug gages of this type are used by quality technicians and toolroom machinists and do not require power or mechanical installation. Handle with clean, dry hands or cotton inspection gloves to prevent corrosion from skin contact. Store in a protective case away from temperature extremes to maintain dimensional stability. Follow your facility calibration schedule and applicable ASME B89.1 procedures when placing this gage into a quality system.
