The VERMONT GAGE 112313950 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for dimensional go inspection of bored, reamed, and drilled holes. It checks whether a hole falls within acceptable tolerance by confirming the minimum allowable diameter. The gage measures 13.95 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm and features a 10 microfinish surface on the gaging element. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST and conforms to ASME B89.1 standards. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room professionals use this gage for in-process and final inspection work on precision components.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection of 13.95 mm diameter holes in production and toolroom environments. It is compatible with standard gage handle systems and integrates into inspection routines alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other dimensional measuring devices. The 2.0-inch overall length fits standard double-end and single-end gage handles used in bench inspection and floor-level quality control. Residential and light commercial machine shops as well as high-tolerance manufacturing facilities both use Class ZZ Plus gages for routine attribute inspection.
Designed for use as a go plug gage in standard gage handle assemblies and suitable for use alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other dimensional measuring devices as noted in product specifications.
Plug gages are installed and used by quality technicians and machinists; no permanent mounting is required. Before use, clean the gage and the workpiece bore with a lint-free cloth to remove chips, oil, and debris that could affect readings. Never force a go gage through an undersized hole, as this can damage the gage surface and produce false readings. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage to the precision-ground element.
