The VERMONT GAGE 112306050 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise dimensional inspection of bored holes and machined features. Manufactured from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating, this gage checks whether a workpiece hole meets the minimum acceptable size for a go-condition fit. The nominal diameter is 6.05 mm with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it appropriate for close-tolerance inspection work. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality-system documentation requirements. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrologists use this gage in production and incoming-inspection environments.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection applications including setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter. It conforms to ASME B89.1 standards, making it appropriate for shops operating under ISO or other quality management requirements. The compact overall length of 2 inches allows easy handling in bench inspection stations or on the shop floor. Typical users include quality assurance departments in precision machining, aerospace component manufacturing, and general metalworking operations.
Designed for go inspection of features at 6.05 mm nominal diameter; also suitable for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference standard.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists - no power source or mechanical installation is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and avoid dropping or impacting the gage, as this can alter the calibrated diameter. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before inspection to prevent debris from affecting readings. Periodic recalibration against a traceable standard is recommended in accordance with your facility's measurement system analysis procedures.
