The VERMONT GAGE 112305950 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise dimensional inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and other internal features requiring close-tolerance measurement. Built from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface finish, this gage checks whether a feature meets its minimum acceptable size - the Go function - in production and quality-control environments. The overall length is 2.0000 inches, and the gage diameter is 5.95 mm with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, meeting ASME B89.1 standards. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST.
This plug gage is used wherever accurate Go inspection is required, including in-process quality checks on CNC-machined parts, incoming inspection on purchased components, and calibration verification for set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. It is suited for machine shops, toolrooms, and quality labs handling small-diameter bored features. The compact size and light weight make it practical for bench use or integration into a gage-block setup. It is appropriate for both production floor inspection and calibration-room applications.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles accepting 5.95 mm Go-style gage members, and compatible with set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a precision reference standard per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages should be installed and used by qualified metrology or inspection personnel familiar with ASME B89.1 inspection practices. Handle and store the gage carefully to avoid nicks, corrosion, or thermal exposure that could affect dimensional accuracy. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before use to prevent debris from influencing readings. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this will damage the gage member and invalidate its calibration.
