The VERMONT GAGE 112305330 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage manufactured from tool steel for dimensional inspection of bored, drilled, and reamed holes. It carries a tolerance of 0.00508 mm and is designed for go inspection applications where repeatable, traceable measurement is required. The gage ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that includes NIST traceability, confirming dimensional conformance to ASME B89.1. At 2.0 inches overall length and a nominal diameter of 5.33 mm, it fits standard handle systems and is a direct working-gage solution for quality control on the shop floor or in the inspection room.
This plug gage is suited for use in manufacturing environments where hole diameter verification is part of a production or receiving inspection routine. Typical applications include checking machined components on milling, turning, and drilling operations. It is also compatible with calibration workflows involving setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter. The 10 microfinish surface coating reduces wear and preserves dimensional integrity over repeated insertions, making it appropriate for moderate to high-frequency inspection cycles in both job shop and production environments.
Designed for go inspection use with standard plug gage handle systems. Also suitable for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference diameter.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists following shop metrology procedures. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicks or corrosion that would affect the calibrated surface. Do not force the gage into a hole that resists entry, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Periodic recalibration intervals should be established per your facility quality management system and ASME B89.1 guidelines.
