The VERMONT GAGE 112303650 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for go inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and precision-fit openings. It measures 3.65 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, making it suitable for tight-tolerance quality control work in toolrooms, production floors, and inspection departments. The gage body is machined from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface rating. Overall length is 2.0000 inches. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability, meeting the documentation requirements of most quality management systems. Dimensional inspection technicians and machinists are the primary users of this tool.
This plug gage is used wherever hole diameter must be verified to close tolerance before assembly or further machining. Typical applications include go inspection of drilled and reamed bores in production parts, setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, and incoming or in-process dimensional inspection. It is suited for both job-shop toolrooms and high-volume production inspection environments where repeatable, traceable measurement is required. The Class ZZ Plus designation indicates a tighter-than-standard tolerance class appropriate for precision work.
Designed for use as a go inspection gage for bored holes and as a setting standard for micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Compatible with standard plug gage handles sized for small-diameter gage blanks.
Plug gages are handled and used by dimensional inspection technicians and machinists; no installation trade license is required, but familiarity with gage handling best practices is necessary. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicking or corrosion of the precision ground surface. Do not force the gage into a bore; apply light, consistent hand pressure only. Clean the gage and bore surfaces before each use to prevent false readings from debris or oil buildup.
