The VERMONT GAGE 112221740 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo inspection of bored or reamed holes. Each gage checks whether a hole has exceeded its maximum allowable size, making it a standard go/no-go quality-control tool on the shop floor and in inspection departments. The gage measures a nominal diameter of 21.74 mm with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, delivering the close-tolerance accuracy required for precision metrology work. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability is included, supporting ISO and quality-system documentation requirements.
This plug pin gage is suited for dimensional inspection in manufacturing, machining, and quality-control environments. It is used alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to verify hole tolerances on machined components. The overall length of 2 inches makes it easy to handle during bench inspection or in-process checks. It is appropriate for both job-shop and production inspection workflows where consistent, traceable measurement results are required.
Designed for use in NoGo hole inspection applications and compatible for use with set micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring a 21.74 mm reference standard.
Pin gages are installed by hand and require no tools for use. Always clean the gage and the bore being inspected before gauging to prevent measurement error or surface damage. Store the gage in its case away from other metal tooling to protect the precision ground surface. Calibration intervals should follow your facility quality plan and applicable standards such as ASME B89.1.5.
