The VERMONT GAGE 112204600 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo inspection of bored, reamed, or otherwise finished holes. It measures a nominal 4.60 mm diameter and holds a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, making it suitable for verifying that a hole has not been oversized. The 10 microfinish surface coating reduces wear and maintains dimensional accuracy through repeated use. At 2 inches in overall length, it fits standard pin gage handles and collet-style holders. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards, satisfying most quality-system documentation requirements.
This gage is used in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and inspection departments wherever close-tolerance hole inspection is required. Typical applications include NoGo checking of drilled and reamed holes, setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, bore gages, and other measuring devices. It is appropriate for both production-floor spot checks and formal incoming or in-process inspection under ISO or AS9100 quality programs. The Class ZZ designation identifies it as a working-grade gage intended for direct part inspection rather than gage-calibration master use.
Designed for use as a NoGo inspection gage and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a 4.60 mm reference pin. Compatible with standard pin gage handles and collet-style holders that accept pin gages in this diameter range.
Pin gages are installed by hand into a compatible handle or collet holder - no tools are required for mounting. Before use, inspect the gage pin surface for burrs, corrosion, or wear that could affect measurement accuracy. Store the pin in its case or protective sleeve when not in use to prevent surface damage. Calibration intervals should follow your facility quality plan and applicable standards such as ASME B89.1.5.
