The VERMONT GAGE 112203720 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage ground to a 3.72 mm diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm. It is a single-ended pin gage used to verify that a hole or bore does not exceed a maximum allowable size, making it a NoGo member in a go/no-go gage pair. The pin is machined from steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating and measures 2 inches in overall length. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that includes NIST traceability, confirming calibration to a national measurement standard. Machinists, quality control technicians, and tool and die professionals use this gage in production inspection and setup verification.
This gage is intended for NoGo inspection applications where a bore or hole must be checked against a maximum diameter limit. It is also suited for setting and calibrating micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a known reference diameter. Typical use cases include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks on machined components, and calibration lab reference work. The compact 2-inch length makes it easy to handle in bench inspection and field measurement environments.
Designed for use as a NoGo plug gage in go/no-go inspection setups and as a setting reference for micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring a 3.72 mm diameter reference standard.
Plug pin gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists — no power source or mechanical installation is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicks or corrosion that would affect dimensional accuracy. Clean the gage pin and the bore or instrument contact surface before use to avoid false readings from debris or oil buildup. Do not force the pin into an undersized hole, as this can damage the gage surface and invalidate its calibration.
