The VERMONT GAGE 112125400 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for dimensional go inspection of bored holes and machined features. It measures 25.40 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm and an overall length of 2.0000 inches. The 10 micro coating finish protects the working surface and extends service life in production and inspection environments. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, making it suitable for use in calibrated measurement programs. This gage is installed and used by machinists, quality technicians, and metrology professionals in manufacturing, tool-and-die, and precision inspection settings.
This plug gage is designed for go inspection applications where a controlled-diameter reference is needed to verify that a bored or reamed hole meets minimum size requirements. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, bore gages, and other measuring devices that require a traceable reference standard. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and calibration support in machine shops, production facilities, and metrology labs working to ASME B89.1 standards.
Designed for use as a go plug gage reference standard in applications requiring a 25.40 mm diameter check, including use with micrometers, verniers, bore gages, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable dimensional reference.
Handle plug gages with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion and contamination of the gage surface. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and allow it to reach ambient temperature before use if moved from a temperature-controlled environment. Do not force the gage into a hole that does not accept it freely, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Inspection and calibration of this gage should be performed by a qualified metrology technician in accordance with your facility quality program and ASME B89.1.
