The VERMONT GAGE 112122420 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for precision bore and hole inspection. It measures 22.42 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, meeting ASME B89.1 dimensional standards. The gage features a 10 Micro surface coating and finish to protect the gauging surface and extend service life. An overall length of 2.0000 inches makes it compatible with standard gage handle systems. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy bearing NIST traceability, supporting documented quality programs. Machinists, metrologists, and quality control technicians use this gage for Go inspection routines on production and inspection lines.
This plug gage is suited for Go inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and threaded or plain cylindrical features at the 22.42 mm nominal size. It is also applied when setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other comparative measuring devices to a known reference diameter. The Class ZZ Plus classification places it within the precision range appropriate for production inspection, incoming inspection, and process control applications in manufacturing environments.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handle systems for Go inspection of 22.42 mm nominal diameter bores, and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists; no power source or shutoff is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage or contamination that could affect accuracy. Clean gauging surfaces with a lint-free cloth before each use and apply a light coat of instrument oil for corrosion protection during storage. Do not force the gage into a bore; Go gages should pass through a conforming hole under their own weight or with minimal hand pressure.
